Bluffton YMCA
Who can participate?
Spring U6 Soccer is open to boys and girls ages 4–6. This program is designed to introduce young players to the game in a fun, encouraging, and age-appropriate environment.
When and where are games played?
Games are held on the fields next to the Bluffton YMCA on:
Tuesdays & Thursdays
6:00–7:00 PM
What does a typical evening look like?
Each session is structured to support skill development and game experience:

⚽ 10-minute practice focused on a specific soccer skill

🥅 Game play consisting of four 8-minute quarters
Our goal is to help players build confidence, learn fundamentals, and most importantly—have fun!
What should my child wear?
Players should come ready to play in:

Shin guards (required) with long socks over top

Tennis shoes or soccer cleats
-
Weather-appropriate athletic clothing
👕 Team t-shirts will be provided.
What should my child bring?

A refillable water bottle to keep on the sidelines

A great attitude and readiness to learn!
Is this a competitive league?
No. U6 soccer at the Bluffton YMCA is a developmental league focused on skill-building, teamwork, and fun in a positive environment.
Are volunteer coaches needed?
Yes! 🙌 We rely on amazing volunteer coaches to make this program possible. If you’re interested in helping, please contact us. Coaching at this level is incredibly rewarding and no prior experience is necessary—we provide guidance and support.
